These songs were made using a handpan made by Isthmus Instruments out of Madison, WI, USA. The handpan is a tuned percussion instrument with different zones set to notes that you play with your hands...it sounds very similar to a Caribbean steel drum. My handpan is set to D minor. I made up the songs by experimenting with the handpan and arranging my jams. I then went to Burn United Records in Oregon, WI, USA which is owned by Shawn Streeter who plays guitar and sings in my band RUINS. We recorded my songs and then created the backing accompaniment with various percussion instruments I had such as a djembe, shakers, doumbek, etc. Shawn helped me with additional backing sounds in Logic and using free samples online.
